Here are our Terms & Conditions (subject to change) ~ we advise our prospective guests to read through
1. BOOKING A HOLIDAY
A holiday booking is made between Pine Tree Capital AG - Chalet Bull ('Chalet Bull') and the signatory of your booking (‘you’/'your'). The Signatory must be minimum 25 years of age.
All correspondence should be addressed to Chalet Bull, Moosweg 24, 3920 Zermatt.
2. CONFIRMATION
The booking is confirmed when the first deposit payment is made and the guest receives a written approval from Chalet Bull, or their representatives.
Summer deposit is 15% of full fee
Winter deposit is 25% of full fee.
Deposit payment is non-refundable without legal/medical documentation.
3. BALANCE PAYMENT
Full payment of the balance as shown on your confirmation invoice is due 12 weeks prior to your arrival. If the payment is not received at this point, Chalet Bull (or their representatives) reserves the right to cancel your booking.
4. AMENDMENTS
We reserve the right to make changes to your booking (other than date changes) both before and after a reservation should this change be deemed necessary and acting responsibly (for example changing suites due to malfunction/force majeure).
All alterations by you must be confirmed in writing and approved by Chalet Bull (or their representatives) and will come into effect on the day they are received and confirmed by Chalet Bull (or their representatives).
Chalet Bull shall not be liable for any refund should we or you be forced to cancel or change your holiday due to circumstances amounting to Force Majeure. Such circumstances shall include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, pandemics, terrorism, industrial disruption, natural disasters, fire, technical problems, pandemic, adverse weather, governmental action, government travel restrictions due to health reasons and similar events beyond our control.
5. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for all losses and/or damage arising from any act or default on your part, or the part of any member of your group. Chalet Bull (or their representatives) reserves the right to terminate your holiday if your behaviour, or any member of your group, is deemed antisocial and/or unacceptable, in particular disrespect to the property or noise after 22.00 pm. In this instance you shall regretfully have no right to a refund for your holiday or any expenses incurred due to the termination of your vacation.
Included in this contract is your guarantee of payment for chargeable services requested by any of your guests, before, during or after your holiday.
You accept that you ski and enjoy other winter alpine and adventure sports, summer and winter, at your own risk within the restrictions imposed by the resort or other authorities. We are not responsible for your actions and these restrictions.
6. INSURANCE
It is your responsibility to ensure that you and all members of your group have adequate medical and travel insurance and also any visas required for entry to Switzerland.
It is the condition of every booking that each member of your party is covered by personal holiday insurance, and that the policy covers you adequately for alpine and adventure sports, third party risks and costs incurred from damage to property or adjacent properties during your stay caused by you or any member of your party.
7. TRANSPORT
Any resort taxi transfers, e-bus recommendations, helicopter flights (list not exhaustive) or national road/rail transfers offered or organised by Chalet Bull (or their representatives) during your stay is accepted at your own risk.
8. CANCELLATION POLICY
when renting all suites (full chalet booking) or individual suites during peak weeks*:
Should you wish to cancel your booking for whatever reason, this should be made in writing and will come into effect on the day Chalet Bull (or their representatives) receives and confirms written notification.
12 weeks before your arrival payment for rental, less deposit, shall be paid refunded.
After 12 weeks prior to your arrival, there will be no refund.
when renting individual suites (not valid for full chalet bookings or suites booked during peak weeks*):
Should you wish to cancel your booking for whatever reason, this should also be made in writing and will come into effect on the day Chalet Bull (or their representatives) receives and confirms the written notification.
4 weeks before your arrival any payment for rental, less deposit, shall be refunded.
After 4 weeks prior to your arrival, there will be no refund
9. GUEST DATA
Your booking data is also processed as follows
1. Your booking data (e.g. title, first name, last name, nationality, language, e-mail address, mobile telephone number, postal address, number of persons, arrival date, departure date, number of nights of stay and any visitor’s tax exemption) are forwarded to Bonfire AG and Zermatt Tourism (either by us or via our electronic booking system).

2. Your booking data is recorded in a central database by Bonfire AG and/or Zermatt Tourism. If accommodation providers take part in Zermatt Tourism e-mail marketing, the guest data is likewise stored with the third-party provider «Salesforce» and used as part of the business relationship between the accommodation provider and the guest.

3. Your booking data is processed exclusively in Switzerland and the EU.

4. Based on this, Zermatt Tourism settles the visitor's tax owed and collects the corresponding amount from the service partners.

5. Zermatt Tourism also reports information to the Federal Statistical Office.

6. Bonfire AG and Zermatt Tourism grant the police access to the database with booking data so that the police can access relevant booking data for missing persons, for example.

7. Zermatt Tourism uses the booking data to collect statistics (in particular regarding occupancy, length of stay, number of arrivals, etc.).

The legal basis for this data processing is the fulfilment of a legal obligation within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 (c) GDPR (billing and collection of visitor's tax/reporting to the Federal Statistical Office) and in the sense of Art. 6 para. 1 (f) GDPR (granting access to the police/collection of statistics).
Your booking data is only used for direct marketing purposes (e.g. newsletter distribution) if you have given us your consent for this.

10. GENERAL
No smoking is permitted inside or outside the Chalet Bull property.
No noise between 22.00 pm and 07.00 am. Zermatt rules and regulations regarding music and loud voices after 10pm in the evening, must be respected.

These Chalet Bull standard terms and conditions shall apply to all Chalet Bull bookings unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing with Chalet Bull or their representatives.

*'peak weeks' are all bookings that cover Christmas, New Year, February 'half-term' holidays and Easter (dates available on request)
